Lectures & Events
St Mary’s leads a variety of mid-week groups for members of the congregation and any others who are interested.
Occasional lectures are put on to address both major theological and ethical issues, often in the context of a conversation between people of contrasting views.
What are some of the questions Christians are asking today and what new answers are available? Guest theologians including, Dr Jordan Bell, Dr Mary Marshall and Dr William Wood, will tackle gritty subjects such as sin and self- deception, the relevance of The Bible, and authority and autonomy in religion.  This is a series intended for students and those in their twenties. Join us in the Vaults & Garden Café for each talk along with Q&A and group discussion over wine and cheese. 7.30 to 9 p.m.
January 30th, February 13th, February 27th, March 13th
To sign up for the series please email the Church Office
Student Bible Study - Tuesdays at 8pm
There is a Bible study group for students and young people, meeting on Tuesdays 8-9pm each week in the Vaults and Gardens cafe. We will be reading selected stories and passages from the Gospels with the aim of reading them in a devotional way, seeking to learn more about Christ and discuss the implications for our lives. Newcomers are very welcome at any point in the term. For more information, contact Tom Hawes or Claire Browes
